Most pool companies sell one brand of fiberglass shell because that is the one they are allowed to sell. Hydroscape is an authorized dealer for four: Latham, River Pools, Imagine Pools and Glimmerglass. That matters more than it sounds. Every manufacturer has a different catalog of shapes and sizes, a different take on tanning ledges, benches and spas, and a different price point. When one company can quote all four, you end up with the shell that actually fits the yard, the family and the number you had in mind.

We have installed fiberglass pools across Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Delaware counties, South Jersey, New Castle County and Northern Virginia since 2003. The shell is only part of the job. The dig, the base, the plumbing, the backfill and the patio around it are what decide whether a fiberglass pool stays level and looks right for thirty years, and that part is the same Hydroscape crew whichever brand you pick.

Latham: The Widest Catalog

Latham is the largest fiberglass pool manufacturer in North America and its catalog shows it: more than 30 rectangular, freeform and plunge models in three or more lengths each, from the compact Milan plunge pools up to 40-foot Bermuda and Tuscan rectangles. Latham shells use Crystite gel coat over a vinyl ester resin layup and carry a limited lifetime structural warranty. If you have a specific shape in your head, Latham probably makes it.

River Pools: Clean Lines and Big Tanning Ledges

River Pools shells are built in Fortville, Indiana and organized into lettered series. The R Series rectangles run from a 10 by 20 up to a 16 by 40 with bench seating at both ends and an automatic-cover-friendly edge. The C Series pairs an open swim area with a tanning ledge that fits several lounge chairs. River is the brand for homeowners who want a modern rectangle or a freeform that still swims straight.

Imagine Pools: Family-Friendly Freeforms

Imagine Pools designs around how families actually use a pool: wide shallow ends, built-in spas that spill into the pool, splash pads and tanning ledges. The Marvelous, Bliss, Inspiration and Freedom models are the ones we install most, including the Marvelous 30 in the Newtown, PA project pictured here. Every Imagine shell is ICC-ES compliant (ESR-1732).

Glimmerglass: Plunge Pools to 42-Foot Lap Pools

Glimmerglass is a US manufacturer with plants in New York and Georgia and one of the broadest size ranges in the business: a Cold Plunge that fits a small city lot, the Regal and Contemporary collections for typical suburban yards, and the Extreme and Grand Cayman shells that reach 40 feet and beyond for serious swimmers. Their spa collection includes spillover spas that pair with the pool.

Which Brand Fits Your Yard?

A few rules of thumb from thirty years of installs:

  • Tight lot or a plunge pool: Glimmerglass Plunge collection or a Latham Milan or Enchantment.
  • Classic rectangle with an automatic cover: River R Series or Latham Corinthian, Axiom or Olympia.
  • Kids, a shallow play end and a spa: Imagine Freedom with Splash Pad, Imagine Bliss, or a Latham freeform like the Synergy.
  • Lap swimming: River R36 or R40, Glimmerglass Extreme 38 or 40, or a Latham 16 by 40 rectangle. Add a BaduJet swim current if the yard will not take a 40-footer.
  • Biggest tanning ledge: River C Series, Imagine Bliss, or a Latham Deluxe model.

The honest answer is that we bring drawings from more than one brand to the first meeting, lay them on your survey and let the yard decide. Every quote includes the shell, delivery, crane, excavation, base, plumbing, equipment, backfill and the patio, so brands compare on a like-for-like installed number.

Hydroscape Pools is an authorized dealer and installer for River Pools, Imagine Pools, Latham and Glimmerglass. Four lines means we can match the shell to your yard and your budget instead of talking you into whatever one factory makes.

Proudly Providing Services Throughout the Mid-Atlantic United States

From building a brand-new pool to keeping an older one in great shape, we offer a full range of pool and outdoor living services across the Mid-Atlantic. One team handles all of it, start to finish.
Custom inground pools built in fiberglass or concrete, designed around your yard and how your family wants to use it. We handle the design, the permits, and the full build with our own crew.
Inground spas, spillover spas built right into your pool, and standalone hot tubs, with the jets, heating, and controls to match.
Is your older pool looking tired? We handle resurfacing, new tile and coping, deck updates, and equipment upgrades to bring it back to life.
Gas heat to stretch your season into April and October, or a heat pump to hold temperature through the summer for less money to run. We install Pentair, and we run the gas line and the electrical ourselves.
Pentair IntelliCenter, standard on every pool and spa combination we build. Start the spa, run the lights and check the pump from your phone instead of walking out to the pad in the dark.
Natural stone waterfalls and waterfall and slide combinations from Advanced Waterfall Systems, plus spillover spas and bubblers on a tanning ledge.
Coverstar automatic safety covers, built to meet ASTM F1346. One button closes the pool, which is the whole reason an automatic cover actually gets used.
Pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, and automation. We diagnose, repair, and replace the equipment that keeps your pool running right.
Keep your pool clean, balanced, and ready to swim, with regular care plus seasonal openings and closings handled by our own team.
Patios, walkways, plantings, and complete outdoor living areas that turn the space around your pool into a backyard you actually want to spend time in.

Built-in grills, bars, countertops, and full outdoor kitchens, with the gas and electrical handled in-house.

Pergolas, pavilions, and shade structures that keep your patio and pool comfortable all summer.

Patios, pool decks, walkways, retaining walls, and fire features, built to last.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which fiberglass pool brand is the best?

There is no single best brand. Latham has the biggest catalog, River Pools has the cleanest rectangles and largest tanning ledges, Imagine Pools is strongest on family freeforms with built-in spas, and Glimmerglass covers the extremes from plunge pools to 40-foot-plus shells. Because we install all four, we recommend the shell that fits your yard rather than the one we happen to sell.

Less than people expect. Shell price varies by brand, size and features, but excavation, base, plumbing, equipment, backfill and patio are the bigger share of the project and they are the same work whichever shell goes in the hole. We quote every brand on the same installed basis so you can compare fairly. Our pricing page shows typical ranges.

We can show you completed Hydroscape installs of most popular models around Bucks and Montgomery County, and each manufacturer publishes full drawings and 3D views that we walk through at the design meeting.

Each manufacturer warranties its own shell, and Latham, River Pools, Imagine Pools and Glimmerglass all offer long structural warranties on the shell itself. Hydroscape separately warranties the installation. We register the shell warranty for you at handover.

We concentrate on these four because we know their shells, their spec sheets and their support teams. If you already own a shell from another manufacturer, call us and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right installer for it.
