Mercer County is just across the Delaware from our Bucks County base. We build in Hopewell and Princeton to the north and Hamilton and Robbinsville to the south, and the ground is different in each.
Some Mercer projects are additions to established yards in older neighborhoods, others are newer homes with a blank backyard. Either way we design the pool and everything around it, then build it with one crew.

Northern Mercer around Hopewell and Princeton sits partly on Newark Basin shale and diabase rock, while southern Mercer around Hamilton and Robbinsville is sandier Coastal Plain soil. Sandy ground digs easily but needs support for the excavation walls and a plan for groundwater.

New Jersey requires a barrier generally at least 48 inches high with self-closing, self-latching gates. We install aluminum or vinyl code fencing.
Yes. North of Trenton it can be shale or rock; south toward Hamilton it is mostly sand and the water table can be higher. We file the 811 utility locate ourselves before any digging, so buried gas, electric and water lines are marked first.
Our pricing page lists the ranges: a fiberglass pool from 20 to 40 feet usually lands around $60,000 to $90,000 for the pool itself, and a 20-foot custom concrete pool starts around $80,000 to $85,000. Decking, fencing and landscape are priced on top, and Financing Available through Lyon Financial.
